This room

I get one room in this world.
I've been in the same one for years and years and has been one huge expression board as I've grown up.
Its seen Spice Girl/Top of the pop posters, lime green and blue stripe wallpaper, burnt orange walls, oriental theme, my bed has been moved and put at every possible angle...

It's been my sanctuary where I've filled pages worth of diaries
I've cried with laughter in this room
I've cried with sadness
frustration
heart ache

I've been drunk in this room
angry
happy
and in love

I've escaped this room
but i always come back to it

I keep my entire life here
Usually one huge jumble sale
an art workshop mostly

But just lately I've been clearing the rubbish
in my mind
in my life

and in my room

a fresh start, in every sense.

Kate.

Slight hang up about the fact that Kate Moss's absolutely stunning wedding to Jamie Hince was showcased in American Vogue! (slightly possessive- she's OUR English Rose!!)
But nevertheless, I've managed to find some pictures whereby Mario Testino translates the beauty of the day with incredibly dreamy and breathtaking shots which will bring a tear to the most cynical eye.

I've taken a few photographs from Vogues website which truly speak for themselves.....

enjoy.....

David Bailey.

It was the 1964 photograph of Mick Jagger that first enthralled my love for this incredible photographer.
A London boy at heart Bailey who, at 22, worked freelance for Vogue and cracked the industry after years of dedication and perseverance.

He witnessed the 'Swinging Sixties' through the eye of his camera in which he shot some of the most iconic images that truly withstand the test of time.

                                                               Jack Nicholson 1984

Jean Shrimpton, Vogue, 1972

Johnny Depp 1995
(wow!!!!)

Marie Helvin, 1977

Mick Jagger, 1964

Salvadore Dali, Paris, 1972

Will Smith, 1997

It was this month's Vogue article on David Bailey that then instigated my love of  Jean Shrimpton.

The model that he found being photographed for a cereal ad.
The 18 year old girl that ended his first marriage and became his muse.
The four-year love story

"What attracted me to her was that she genuinely didn't care how she looked. She honestly never understood what all the fuss was about. That was very attractive to me," says Bailey, whose selling exhibition comes to Bonhams this weekend,

"She had the same democratic beauty that Kate Moss has today. She didn't scare people away in the way that someone like Christie Turlington might. She was one of the most beautiful girls I'd ever seen."

Mary Quant dress.

Dear Voguettes,
